Saydone Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Saydone is a task app with voice input. The data controller is an individual developer based in Ukraine. For any privacy question, contact [email protected].
What we store
- Account: email, name (if provided) and your password — only as an irreversible hash (argon2).
- Your tasks: boards, columns, tasks, labels, due dates, descriptions and notes.
- Dictation log: the transcribed text of a dictation, the AI's proposal and what you applied. We keep it to show you the proposal and to improve parsing quality.
We do not store audio recordings: a recording is sent for transcription and discarded by our server.
Shared columns
If you share a column (with an invite code), the people you invited can see and edit its tasks, checklists and notes; they see your name (or the start of your email if no name is set), who added and checked what and who a task is assigned to (the column's activity feed). Your labels stay private. You can leave a shared column or remove a member at any time. If you delete your account, the shared column and its tasks stay with the other members.
Attachments
Images and files you attach to tasks and comments are stored on our server. A file link is random and known only to people who can see the task. Files are deleted together with the task when it is deleted forever.
Deletion and trash
A deleted task stays in the trash for 30 days (you can restore it) and is then deleted forever; you can delete it forever right away from the trash. Completed tasks move to the archive after 14 days — that is not deletion.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store your phone's notification token and language. When a member adds a task to a shared column, the notification text (column name, member name and task title) is sent through Expo Push (United States) to the Apple Push Notification service. The morning summary (at 9:00 — titles of tasks due today and overdue) goes the same way; to send it at 9 your time we store your phone's time zone. You can turn the summary off in the app's Settings and all notifications in iPhone Settings; the token is deleted when you sign out.
Third-party AI services
Voice input works only after you consent in the app. You can withdraw consent in Settings.
- Groq (United States) receives the audio of your dictation to convert it to text.
- DeepSeek (China) receives the dictation text and a list of your active tasks, including tasks in shared columns (titles, the start of descriptions, labels, statuses, due dates) to decide whether to create a new task or update an existing one. DeepSeek processes and may retain data on servers in China under its own terms and may use API data to improve its models.
Please don't dictate sensitive information such as passwords, card numbers or health data.
What we don't do
No ads, no tracking, no analytics SDKs. We don't sell or share your data with anyone except the services listed above and the shared-column members you invited yourself.
Storage and retention
Data is stored on our server; traffic goes over HTTPS through Cloudflare. We keep data while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account): your account, tasks and dictation log are deleted immediately and disappear from backups within 14 days.
Your rights
You can request a copy, correction or deletion of your data at [email protected].
Children
The app is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
We'll announce material changes in the app. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
